Loslassen, Letting Go
Loslassen, Letting Go
Light Painting in Space. Sound and light activate the space, exploring its poetry.
A clear sky above
Heavy fog drifting through black mountains
Water droplets fall to the ground
Crystal beams of light pierce the haze
Sand slipping away
Time running through open fingers
A lingering mist shrouds the air
Scattered stones rest in empty cups
Autumn wheat sways gently in the wind
Whispering secrets to the night
Beneath the shining full moon
Lustrous crystals glimmer in pure distance
Colours swirl in my mind
Play written by Jeain Pyo
Narration by Leah O’Callaghan

How do I resonate with the space?
How do I exist within it?
How does my experience of the space relate to my being in the space?
Upon entering, the number of people present activate four different sounds in the dark space: wind, voice, beat & bass, and synthesizer. Light responds to each person’s movement, adding an audio and visual interactive experience. A continuous narration speaks about the colors in my mind.
I invite you to think about the colors in your own mind and as you engage with the space and it reflects your interactions with it back to you.
The project Letting Go explores the struggle of holding on — of being unable to let go. It sets the stage for visitors to dance instead of think – to hold on, but perhaps begin letting go.
